Africa has comfirmed over 20 000 cases of Coronavirus 24 hours after recording over 1000 deaths related to the virus.
Egypt remains to be the country with most positive cases in Africa currently with 2844 cases.
The North African region has contributed most of the cases in the continent. Egypt being on the lead, Morocco with 2600 while Algeria has 2418.
South Africa has the highest cases in the Southern African region with 2700+ comfirmed cases.
The United Nations has given a warning that cases could spike across the continent as more tests will be carried out in the coming weeks.
The Imperial College London released a report on Friday stating that under best case scenario Africa could see at least 300 000 from Coronavirus this year.
On the other hand the U.N Economic Commission of Africa released a report stating under worst case scenario Africa could experience 3.3 million deaths and 1.2 billion infection if the continent does not get any interventions against the virus.
Details of the report say even with intense social distancing best case scenario Africa could see more than 122 million infections.
