The Western African countries’ organization Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) has distanced itself from reports that they orders for some Madagascar’s Covid-19 cure .

In a Press release the ECOWAS said, “We wish to dissociate ECOWAS and its Health institution, West Africa Health Organization (WAHO) from this claim and inform the general public that we have not ordered the CVO medicine.

However this organic medicine from Madagascar has already found its way into west Africa after Guinea-Bissau took a delivery of a donation days ago.

The President of Madagascar also said donations to 15 state members of ECOWAS had been made.

ECOWAS also made it clear that they are not against the traditional herbal remedy but they are just not ready to support or endorse the products.

The World Health Organization (WHO) has on the other hand warned against using of untested cures.

Madagascar discovered the medicine and are already doing clinical trials.
