Zambian police threaten youths who want to protest against government

Police has warned those planning to hold a demonstration tomorrow against going ahead saying that they have not followed procedure.

In a statement, acting Police Spokesperson Danny Mwale said police have not received any notification concerning the planned demonstration which is scheduled for tomorrow.

“Therefore, we would like to advise those planning to demonstrate not to go ahead as procedure was not followed,” Mwale warned.

He warned that those that will go ahead will be met with the full wrath of the law because the officers will be on alert.

Youths from various sectors of life are tomorrow, Monday scheduled to hold a protest to parliament buildings against what they termed as poor governance.
