Hopewell Chin’ono has in his opinion dared to speak the unpopular truth as his battle with Passion Java and secular Zimbabwean youths escalates.

Hopewell believes that Zimbabwean youths priorities are misplaced as they celebrate people like Passion Java who he describes as a comedian while ignoring activists like Namatai Kwekweza who are fighting for a brighter Zimbabwe.

Today, Hopewell has accused Mary Chiwenga and Ginimbi of abusing state resources when soldiers where deployed to guard Ginimbi by Mary at the inauguration of President Mnangagwa in 2018.

Below is Hopewell Chin’ono’s full message.

They don’t want to hear this, but I will say it anyway!

Lack of political consciousness led to youths ululating at Ginimbi when he was given military body guards in 2017.

Yet was gross abuse of State power and resources!

Yet some youths found this hilarious without realizing that the same abuse of power extends to the treasury and that is why they don’t habe clean drinking water, medication in hospitals and books in schools.

The failure to understand this is what is called political illiteracy!

This foolishness must be addressed before anything else because it keeps on multiplying!

How do you get change in a country when some of the youth are daft to cheer on acts of power abuse thinking it is heroism?

Hopewell has been at cross roads with many people who say they don’t want to actively participate in politics.

Hopewell believes that everyone should have an active role in shaping the future of Zimbabwe. Many people feel that Hopewell might have a just cause but he shouldn’t have dictatorial tendencies of wanting everyone to dance according to his tune.
