Uzalo actor Cebolenkosi Mthembu, who plays Nyawo lost his dad to COVID-19, contracted the virus twice, and survived two car accidents.
The Durban-based actor believes 2021 was his year of bad luck and is now looking for protection from his elders.
Cebolenkosi Mthembu who plays Nyawo on Uzalo lost his dad back in January, contracted COVID-19 twice, lost his voice because of the virus, and was involved in two car accidents.
The actor says he couldn’t bury his father because he also contracted COVID-19 and was in isolation.
The actor told Daily Sun that he got into his first car accident while he was recovering from COVID-19 earlier this year.
He got into his second car accident four days ago (18 December) while he was on his way to a gig in Durban
He also told the publication that the accident happened on the N3 near Pavillion Mall and he was rushed to the St Augustine Hospital.
“It was a major accident because my car was badly damaged. The front and back bumpers need major repairs.”
Mthembu describes 2021 as the worst year for him and a year of bad luck for him.
“I will ask my elders to intervene or even do something for my protection.”
