Fan-favourite actress Elsie Rasalanavho who’s popularly known for her role as Vho-Mukondeleli has left Muvhango .
The actress confirmed her exit at Muvhango’s
recent 25th birthday celebrations last Thursday (7 April).
ELSIE RASALANAVHO: ‘MY JOURNEY WASN’T EASY’
Popular Muvhango actress Elsie Rasalanavho has exited her long-term role as Vho-Mukondeleli.
“My journey wasn’t that easy because I was a teacher. I had to teach children and during weekends, act.”
“On Friday afternoons, I would take a bus to Joburg. It was hectic because when I went back on Sunday, I had to go to school on Monday. But somehow I managed.”
Rasalanavho also thanked Muvhango producers, her colleagues, the executive producer, and the production house for their support.
She said she’ll miss her colleagues Regina Nesengani and Eunice Mabeta who play Vho-Masindi and Vho-Makhadzi respectively.
“My sisters, I will miss our lunchtime, sharing food. We even shared scripts and modified them to bring them out the way we thought it would work.”
VHO-MUKONDELELI EXITS MUVHANGO
The TVSA April teasers indicate that Vho-Mukondeleli will be killed by Nomasonto played by Bukamina Fanele Cebekhulu and Rosemary played by Gugu Mzobe.
The Wednesday 13 April teaser reads:
“Nomasonto and Rosemary are busted.”
This means that Vho-Mukondeleli will find out that Gugu’s twin sister – Nomasonto and her friend Rosemary stole her life.
They will attack Vho-Mukodeleli who will end up in hospital and Azwindini will have to inform the royal family that she’s a vegetable and that they’ll have to pull the plug.
The Wednesday 20 April reads:
“Azwindini fails to convince the elders that Mukondeleli is not coming back.”
The Thursday 21 April teaser reads:
Fans of the soapie will be devastated by Rasalanavho’s exit as she’s
been with the show for 25 years.
The creator and executive producer of the show – Duma Ndlovu said he’s grateful for the viewer’s support throughout the years and thanked the crew and cast he’s worked with.
