Fan-favourite actor Zolisa Xaluva – who plays Melusi Dlamini – has reportedly left Gomora
after not seeing eye to eye with show producers.

It is believed that viewers will soon not see Xaluva on the telenovela again after his exit.

Gomora actor Zolisa Xaluva – who’s popularly known for his role as Melusi Dlamini in the telenovela has allegedly ditched the show to pursue other opportunities after disagreeing with the show producers.

A source from the show informed Sunday World that the actor confronted producers as he was not comfortable with his storyline.

Another informer stated that Xaluva’s frank attitude on several issues rubbed producers the wrong way and they’re happy to see him go.

‘He is a brilliant actor, but there are things producers can’t tolerate.’

Gomora’s publicist Linda Matsolo confirmed his exit to the publication and added that his character will soon be off the telenovela.

Xaluva is the second star to leave the show after Israel Matseke-Zulu – who played Don – exited the popular show in 2021 due to his struggle with gangrene – which led to his right leg being amputated.

Former Generations star Buyile Mdladla – who played the villainous role of Phumlani is also not returning to the show as his contract wasn’t renewed and his character got killed on Friday (22 April).

Viewers of the show already noticed that Zolisa Xaluva’s character – Melusi Dlamini wasn’t mentioned in the TVSA May teasers.

Melusi killed Phumlani on Friday after he found him trying to kill his love interest Thati – played by Katlego Danke.

Fans were furious with Phumlani’s exit as they wanted Thati’s family to find out about his deviousness before he was killed.

Melusi also called the cops on himself and got arrested instead of cleaning up the body and getting away with murder.

The season three teaser reveals that Thati will be released from jail this coming week and that her family will hate her for ‘killing Phumlani’ as they adored him and thought he was a better man than Melusi.
