She’s been trending for a couple of days on social media. This after a Twitter user posted that the reason for her divorce was infidelity.
Presenter and media personality Minnie Dlamini has rubbished the allegations.
In a joint statement with her ex-husband Quinton Jones, they said they are aware of the rumours and they are not true.
“We have been made aware of various allegations regarding our divorce circulating on social media since yesterday. Without saying much more, all the allegations made are false, damaging, and malicious,” the statement reads.
“Fabrications of such a damaging manner are both unnecessary and hurtful in a matter that is already sensitive to us.”
The co-parents say they will be going the legal route as the rumours are damaging.
“Our shared priority is to remain friends and co-parent our son.”
They asked for privacy while they finalize their divorce.
“We kindly ask that you allow us to go through our private processes without dragging ourselves, our families, and our loved ones into baseless rumours and social media sensationalism. These baseless rumours affect not only us, but our child.”
They will be taking legal action against the instigator of the rumours.
“Considering the nature of the allegations made, legal action will be taken against the relevant parties.”
Earlier this year, Minnie released a statement saying that she and husband of four years Quinton Jones were getting divorced.
“In the last 2 years, our family has experienced incredible joy and devastating loss. During this time, we found comfort in knowing we had each other,” they wrote.
“Despite our best efforts to absorb the changes in motion, the emotional burden and the post-traumatic distress of our individual loss outweighed our will.”
