Nyalleng Thibedi, best known for her role, Zekhethelo on SABC 1’s number 1 daily drama Uzalo has sadly confirmed that she is leaving the show.
This, while the show is trying so hard to recover its number one most watched status by calling back many of its actors who left the show.
Nyalleng Thibedi’s exit has shocked many fans of the show who were expecting to see much from her.
She has been playing kwaMashu’s number one gangster Nkunzebomvu Mhlongo’s daughter on the show.
She is set to join some big guns who left the reportedly ailing show in the last few months. The likes of Dawn Thandeka King who used to Play Lindiwe ‘MaNgcobo’, Siyabonga Shibe playing Qhabanga, Baby Cele who used to play Gabisile and Jet Novuka who used to play captain Yamkela.
To control the damage done by their exits, Uzalo brought back many of their former big guns including GC played by Khaya Dladla and Thobile played by Nokuthula Mabika.
There are also rumours that Ntokozo Dlamini who used to play Mastermind and Naymaps who played Mxolisi could be making their comeback soon.
Confirming her exit, Nyalleng told Daily Sun that she was set to leave the show very soon.
She, however, has many episodes to play first before her exit because the writing of her exit has not yet been completed.
“I’m not sure when my final episode will be because the writing is not completed,” she said.
Nyalleng did not reveal the reason why she is leaving and where she is leaving to.
“At the moment I will not share where I’m going but I will let you know in due course,” she added.
However, rumour has it that most actors are leaving due to low payment offers from the production company.
