Remember the wealthy villain Kenneth Mashaba on Generations? Where did he disappear to? His real name is Seputla Sebogodi. He has appeared on numerous television shows, but his most notable role is Kenneth Mashaba.

Kenneth Mashaba joined the soapie Generations as Sibusiso Dlomo’s close friend. Sibusiso trusted him with his media company. When Kenneth sat on the CEO’s seat, he ran the company with unnecessary expenses. After the company was bankrupt, he bought it for himself at a lesser fee. Kenneth was married to Dineo Mashaba, who was young enough to be his daughter.

Bophelo Ke Semphekga

Contrary to popular belief, the actor started acting in the ’90s. So many years in the acting scene makes him one of the veteran actors of Mzansi. His first notable role is that of the womanizer Nkwesheng on Bophelo Ke Semphekga.

Suburban Bliss

After appearing and being famous for his 90’s character, he acted on Suburban Bliss. Suburban Bliss was a South African post-democracy sitcom. His character moved in next door to his white colleagues in Bryanston. His wife was a bit too glamorous and spent a lot of his hard-earned cash.

Movies

Seputla is no stranger to the big screen as he was also on the highly successful movie Beat The Drum. In the movie Mr Bones 1, he played the role of the first king to appear in the film. Seputla was one of the actors on The Long Run too.

After leaving Generations in 2014 with his cast members on strike, he went to eTV. On the soapie, he only cared about his dog, a pit bull named Tyson. He acted as a dodgy ex-convict and businessman.

Where is Seputla Sebogodi now?

Seputla still acts as a theatre actor. He also harnesses and grooms the skills of upcoming young actors. His most recent soapie role was on The River. He played Mohumi but was later killed by Lindiwe on season 4 of the show. Seputla still performs his gospel music and works as a motivational speaker.
