Rand Water is Hiring a Tractor Driver- Apply Now

Rand Water is looking for candidate to assist in using various Horticultural equipment to: plough, mow lawns, bail and rake grass, fertilize lawns, water trees and transport equipment.This tractor driver will have to drive to site on his own to carry out the work as described above. He will be expected to work independently.

Minimum Requirements

1. Grade 12 or NQF level 4.
2. Code 08 driver’s license and the ability to pass Rand Water’s K53 drivers test.
3. 2 years experience- using a broad range of agric/ horticulcural implements & tractor drawn equipment.
4. 3 year experience with tractor.
5. Able to pass Rw K53 test.

Primary Duties

1. Weeding, loading and sweeping
2. Applying fertilizers, insecticides & fungicides
3. Use of specialized horticultural equipment, including lawnmowers & brush cutters
4. General cleaning
5. Driving to site to carry out work independently
6. Undertake Senior Gardener work when no tractor work is available

Knowledge

1. Basic knowledge of fire fighting.
2. Basic knowledge of first Aid.
3. Basic SHE knowledge on all related functions.

Skills

1. Good communication skills (both written andspoken).
2. Good Planning skills.
3. Good public relation skills.
