Surely as the adage goes all is fair in love and war. The war between sangomas Gogo Maweni and Gogo Skhotheni is indeed far from being over.
Earlier this week with sadness and remorse Gogo Skhotheni lost her son Monde Jr who spent almost two years in hospital ICU.
The army that follows Skhotheni had to find someone to blame for the misfortune that befell their icon.
All fingers pointed at Gogo Maweni that she was the cause for the death of Monde. Social media circles claimed that Maweni had taken their spiritual fight too far and had come after Skhotheni’s family.
Some went as far as releasing an old video from 2023 when the whole fight began.
In the video Maweni is heard insulting Skhotheni in all manner of words and went as far as saying Skhotheni is using her son to gain some wealth and power.
“Uthwele ngengane yakhe lowu, she is using her own son for wealth and power,” said Maweni.
In response to that,Skhotheni also retaliated with insults at her but made it clear that she wasn’t using her son but was using her ancestors.
“Mina ngithwele ngamadlozi ami,” said Skhotheni in her defence.
The two sangomas have managed to gain so much social media traction and loyal followers even though they are said to be doing bad witchcraft things their followers are loyal to them.
They even had a reality television show on Moja Love called Izangoma Zodumo.
In the video Maweni also denounced that the two were ever friends saying they were associates for a job.
“Who is she ? Angeke ngamloya mina. She was never my friend we were just associates. We were linked by association that’s all. She does fake backdoor surgeries for R80k she must come I shoe her where I did mine for R300k,”said Maweni.
